Bengaluru-based AI startup Contrails AI has secured $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Huddle Ventures and IAN Group for AI Trust and Safety Platform.
The company aims to build an AI-powered risk governance platform that helps internet platforms detect and mitigate emerging threats in the era of generative AI.
AI Trust and Safety Platform: Addressing the Growing Risk of Synthetic Content
Contrails AI was founded by AI researcher Digvijay Singh and trust and safety expert Amitabh Kumar. The startup focuses on the rising challenge of “AI slop”—the flood of synthetic, manipulated, and malicious content online.
This content surge threatens to turn the internet into a space filled with counterfeit or harmful material.
Its proprietary Forensics & Manipulation Detection AI offers real-time analysis across multiple media types: video, image, audio, and text. This allows review teams to detect misinformation, deepfakes, brand impersonation, and fraud quickly and effectively.

Funding to Accelerate Pilots Across US and EU
Contrails AI plans to use the funding to accelerate pilot projects in sectors like marketplaces, media, finance, and digital platforms across the US and Europe.
The company integrates AI guardrails with policy and moderation frameworks to help platforms scale safely while balancing automation with human oversight.
