Google Ads Offline Conversion Upload Bug Disrupts Campaigns

Google has confirmed a major bug affecting offline conversion uploads in Google Ads.

Advertisers say a large part of their uploaded conversion data is missing from reports. This issue is now impacting campaign performance, results, and automated bidding.

The company has acknowledged the problem and says a fix is in progress.


Advertisers Report Missing Offline Conversions

The issue came to light when multiple advertisers noticed sudden drops in their reported conversions. Many said that only a small portion of their offline uploads were being processed.

Key issues reported:

  • Around 80% of offline conversions fail to appear in Google Ads
  • Reporting shows incorrect conversion numbers
  • ROAS bidding strategies become unstable
  • Campaigns show drops in clicks and performance
  • Data mismatch affects overall optimisation

Prakash Chandra Durgapal highlighted the issue on X. He said that the missing conversions caused malfunctioning bid strategies and a sharp decline in campaign clicks.

Google Responds and Confirms a Fix Is Coming

Google Ads Liaison Ginny Marvin responded to advertisers on X. She confirmed the engineering teams are now working to resolve the issue quickly.

Google’s response includes:

  • Acknowledging the offline upload bug
  • Confirming a high-priority fix is underway
  • Advising advertisers to expect temporary reporting issues
  • Suggesting that missing conversions are a known issue, not user error

For now, advertisers experiencing problems should monitor their accounts but avoid major bid or strategy changes until Google resolves the bug.
