Most of us are virtually connected through it. It’s an undeniable fact that many dead friendships have been revamped only because of FB. Facebook allows us to post texts, pictures, videos and even docs.
There are options to copy text, and save pics. But what if you want to download a Facebook video?? Simply, impossible!! You may think like this.
Not at all. Here, I am sharing some methods to end your queries on how to download videos from Facebook.

We get no official option to save videos from Facebook. That’s why I am going to share some unofficial methods to download FB videos.
I have divided this tutorial into two parts. For the first one, you need the help of a third-party website. And, if you are inconvenient to use a third-party service, go with the second method in which we never leave the Facebook tab.
In this method, you should leave the Facebook tab for a while as we will be using a third-party service. You don’t have to worry about it. I am sharing legitimate websites only.
So, sit back and read this guide peacefully. And then, implement this tutorial by following the steps given below to download a Facebook video.
Step 1: Visit www.fbdown.net from your favourite browser (Mine is Chrome. If you feel your Chrome browser have started acting like a snail, check this out to avoid a massive Chrome memory leak).
Step 2: Look down to the bottom of the screen. A lengthy text field is waiting to be filled. So, go to Facebook.com.
Step 3: Find your favourite video there. (Is Facebook’s auto-play feature driving you crazy?? Here is a guide to stop it). Anyway, we want to copy the video URL now.
Step 4: If you are wondering how to get the video URL, just right-click on the video box. You will get Show video URL, the third one (check the image for details).
Step 5: Copy the URL from the upcoming small field. Then, place the same in the textbox on FB down the website.
Step 6: Press Enter or click on download. You will be asked to choose the quality you want to have for the video. (Here, I got two options, normal and high quality). Select any one of them.
Downloading will be started within no time. Cheer up! You got one solution for how to save a video from Facebook.
N.B.: – I have explained everything using fbdown.net only. Plenty of websites are available that help you, download videos from Facebook.
Simply Google to download Facebook videos. Chill out with the options you will get. If possible, check out every website’s service and stick to the one that suits you the best.
In this method, we will not use any third-party service like a website, software or anything. You can download the video right from the Facebook page itself. The only thing to be done is to alter the URL of the video a bit.
Step 1: Visit www.facebook.com and find the video you want to download.
Step 2: Copy the video URL as I told you in Step 5 of the first method.
Step 3: You have to paste the URL into the address field. If you have no use of the same FB tab, you can paste it there. You are not going to leave Facebook.
Step 4: I only told you to paste the link not to press Enter (don’t worry if you do so). The URL must be like ‘https://www.facebook.com/HeroMotoCorpIndia/videos/847591038671714/’. Replace https://www with m.
That means the final URL will be like.facebook.com/HeroMotoCorpIndia/videos/847591038671714/’. Press Enter soon after you change the link.
Step 5: You will be brought to the mobile version of the Facebook video page. Play the video by a simple click on the centre of the video box.
Step 6: Right-click to get a menu. Choose Save video as from there. You will get a save window like always. Alter the name if you want and click Save.
According to the size of the video, it will get downloaded sooner or later. I hope you got a clear answer for how to download videos from Facebook.
N.B. :- This method has some cons too. Firstly, you can’t save using a download manager with this method. The process will be done within the browser itself. So, the duration may be increased.
And, you don’t get quality choices. As we download from the mobile website, you will always be able to download a low- quality video.
Don’t hesitate to implement this method if you have no problem with the above cons.
You can’t download a private video from Facebook using any of the methods given above. So, here is a way to download private Facebook videos.
Step 1: Go to the video you want to download.
Step 2: View page source by pressing Ctrl+ U and copy it. (Alternatively, page source can be seen by following Right Click> View Page Source).
Step 3: Go to Fbdown Private Video Downloader by clicking here.
Step 4: You will see a text area. Paste the copied page source into the same. And click download.
Step 5: If available, you will be asked to choose from Normal and high quality. Do that.
Hurray!! You can now download any video from Facebook.
