To create a flowchart in MS word, you will need to have a little knowledge of the MS word programs. Once you have so, creating flowcharts would not at all seem a tough job to you.

Well before moving further to creating a flowchart, it is necessary for you to have a structure in your mind. Flowcharts come in different shapes and sizes. It is you who has to decide the size and the shape of the flowchart.
Once the design, shape, and size are decided you can create the flow chart by following the given steps.
First of all, open the MS office program on your system and create a blank document. Once you are done, click on the Insert menu from the top menu bar.
After clicking on the insert menu, you will see options like pictures, clip art, shapes, SmartArt, chart, etc. All you will need to do is click on shapes.

Ok, After getting accustomed to makes a basic flowchart, selecting shapes and adjusting their positions, and adding up them, it’s probably a good idea to start adding text.
Adding text on shapes is quite easy in MS word. All it will require is a click.
Yes simply right-click on the shape you want to write text on. After clicking on it, you will see some options there including Add text. Click on that.
After clicking on the Add text, the box will be highlighted with the cursor on it allowing you to type in that.
Simply type anything you want. That’s how a basic flow chart is created.
Now after the shapes, text, and structure are done it’s time to add some elements to make the flowchart look even more attractive.
To do so, you will need to go to the Format Menu. Check out the screen mentioned below.
As you can see in the above image, I have selected the Format menu. And then under text box style, there are various colors and frames kinda structures available.
You can fill different colors in different shapes As all the shapes are separated from each other.
Ok, So what next? You might be thinking, after selecting the shape, creating the flow chart, and even after giving the color and the graphic effects, what do we need to do next?
Well, even after the flow chart is created, there is always the possibility to make it even better by adding additional effects like shadow, 3D effects, and all.
T gives the shadow effects, you will need to go to the shadow effects option and the same for the 3D effects.
When you are there at the format menu, you will be able to see such options as 3D effects, shadow effects, etc.
When you click on the shadow effect option, a drop-down will open up where you will have to select the option you want. When you move your cursor to a particular effect, the shape will show you the preview.
Select any of the shadow effects you want. Remember always try to put effects light on the flow chart to make it look professional.
However, 3D effects give the flowchart look attractive and eye-catchy.
Another thing you can do to create a flowchart is inserting SmartArt. You will find this option just beside the shapes. This allows you to insert nice pre-designed graphic layouts. With this, you will be able to create even more professional-looking content in very little time.
You will have to do nothing but click on the SmartArt and then select any professional-looking shape.
After you select any chart a small box would appear written “Type your text here” After you select the option, plenty of options would appear before you.
Don’t get panic. simply select any of them from the list and get your flow chart done.
