My favorite aspect of Wix is its incredible drag-and-drop editor, which makes developing a website exciting and enjoyable. You can experiment with numerous design components to develop a website design that is uniquely yours.

When you begin the process of designing a website on Wix, you must first choose the type of website you wish to create. Then, you may begin by selecting a template that most closely resembles the design you have in mind.

However, you are not bound by templates and can entirely customize them to meet your needs. This is the role of their editor.

From there, you have an abundance of options, beginning with the page backdrop. You can select photographs from their gallery or upload your own. Additionally, you can select the color scheme for your website.

A bonus feature is the ability to apply identical settings to all other pages with the press of a button. Therefore, if you like a plain white backdrop for all of your website’s pages, you do not need to select each page individually.

To access the actual page design features, simply click the “Add” button. You will be presented with a wide range of design components you can add to your website.

These options vary from the fundamentals, such as text boxes and images, to the advanced, such as integrating an online store.

There is also a members’ option if you wish to build an online community or a members-only section on your website.

If you were to ask me what I appreciate most about the Wix editor, I would say that all of the necessary settings are accessible from a single menu. All possible design options are provided in a single location.

I’ve used numerous website builders where it wasn’t easy to find the option to modify or add a specific design element. Wix is one of the most intuitive user interfaces of any complex website builder I’ve used.

Therefore, if this is your first time creating a website, you should consider Wix.

2. Templates

When you use the Wix website builder to create a website, you have access to more than 500 templates. Their templates are organized by website type, such as blogs, news sites, and fashion and beauty sites.

5. App Integrations

When choosing a website-building platform, one of the most important things to consider is the number and types of integrations it offers. Because of this, I also wanted to discuss it in my Wix review.

One reason is that it is much easier. You can have a website up and running in minutes. You don’t have to go through all of the Wix editor’s options; you can just pick the features and pages you want.

In fact, all you’ll have to do is customize each page, but you’ll get a whole website with everything you need already set up and ready to be changed. I don’t know if you are a fan, but I am!

I mean, getting a website that is already set up and has everything I need in just a few minutes is like magic. I love this feature so much that I highly recommend Wix to anyone just starting out, especially those looking to build their first website.

Pro Tip: Create your first website with Wix ADI rather than the editor unless you have experience with website design.

8. Industry-Specific Website Design Options

The last thing I want to discuss in this Wix review is how flexible it is for creating different kinds of websites. It has many tools and templates for this purpose.

It also makes it easy to find these options, so you can make a website that fits your needs right away. When you start making a website, you have to choose what kind it will be right away. After that, all of the steps are changed to fit.

It also has a set of tools and features designed to meet the needs of any business. For example, if you have an online store, you will have ways to pay, ways to manage orders, ways to show off your products, etc.

If you ask me if I would recommend Wix after reading this review, the answer is a resounding yes!

Wix is a very easy-to-use and intuitive website builder that can help you get your site online in just a few hours. It’s good for a wide range of users, not just beginners.

If you want your website to do something specific, you can use Wix ADI to build a template just for you.

For individuals who prefer to customize their websites, there are numerous options available, each with a high level of detail. You can even code your website in HTML.

Wix’s pricing plans cater to most budgets, whether you’re creating a simple blog site or an online store (though their starting prices are slightly higher than those of other site builders).

Wix is highly recommended for:

Wix Customer Support (I Tested At 3 AM)

Customer service is pretty important, and if your product is an easy-to-use tool for creating things online, you can bet you’ll need some, no matter how easy it is to use.

So, what does Wix have to offer here? Wix has a knowledge base within its help center. It’s not a big deal.

It’s not too bad. Wix is an easy-to-use service that doesn’t require extensive reading materials or instructions. It would be nice to have a little more, but it’s sufficient for most purposes.

Wix only offers phone and ticket support, which I think is a shame. It should be sufficient to solve your problems, but I think many people, myself included, prefer live chat.

It’s a little sad that you can’t get it even with the best account.

Still, the phone support and ticket support are pretty good. I’ve never encountered a particularly challenging problem, but when I’ve spoken with representatives, they’ve been helpful and nice.

It’s worth mentioning that Wix’s large user community is a valuable resource in its own right, even though it’s not technically part of Wix’s customer service.

The community has many problems and solutions to share, both on Wix’s blog, in its forums, and elsewhere.

You can probably get answers as easily from other Wix users as you can from the help center.

To put it simply, Wix’s customer service is good but not amazing. Wix doesn’t offer live chat, and the knowledge base could be a bit more comprehensive, but it provides almost everything you need and features a strong user community that can offer assistance.

Wix: Security and Reliability

Here’s the final test for Wix: Is it safe to use, and does it work well?

Let’s start with the first. Since Wix takes care of almost everything about your website for you, you should have high expectations for their security measures. But there’s one thing wrong.

I can’t find anything official about them. That doesn’t mean Wix lacks security, but the lack of transparency is a little disappointing and makes me doubtful. Still, I did pull a few things out of the water.

Wix is PCI-compliant, which is pretty normal.

After looking around a bit, I also found Wix’s Whois domain privacy feature. This feature is good because it lets users choose whether their domain registration information is public or private when they buy or transfer a domain from Wix.

Aside from these two, Wix has protocols in place to ensure the safety of eCommerce and the purchase of a Wix plan.

You can also install apps from Wix’s store to make your store even more secure and, therefore, more appealing to customers.

Wix also states that it hires full-time security experts, uses “advanced security tools,” and conducts regular internal audits to maintain its ISO/PCI certifications.

I believe them, but I wish there were more and easier-to-find information. I found this on their support pages.
