Looking for Wix Review, this post will help you.
I’ve spent the last three months testing Wix. I built five different websites. I tested every feature. I measured the speed. I even contacted customer support at 3 AM.
Here’s what I found.
Wix now powers over 250 million websites. That’s huge. They control 45% of the website builder market. But does that mean it’s right for you?
I’ll be honest with you. Wix is amazing for some people. But it’s terrible for others.
In this review, I’ll tell you exactly who should use Wix. And who shouldn’t touch it?
I tested Wix against Squarespace, Shopify, and five other builders. I have the data. I have the screenshots. I have the real numbers.
Let’s dive in.
Wix Review 2026: Why Should You Consider Using It?
Wix is a website builder that I have been familiar with for many years. In reality, anyone searching for a website builder encounters Wix, which is a market leader.
However, individuals often become confused and opt for WordPress rather than try something new.

I have decided to write this Wix evaluation so that you may make an informed decision before selecting a website builder.
In this Wix review, I will discuss its primary features in depth, as well as its strengths and weaknesses. Thus, you can decide for yourself if this is the best option.
When it comes to the aspects of Wix that I appreciate, I must begin with the user interface.
The interface is aesthetically spectacular, well-organized, intuitive, and user-friendly. You won’t have to look for the tools you need to construct your website; they are all readily available. Furthermore?
From layouts to ornamental embellishments, you have plenty of alternatives to pick from. It is as simple as dragging and dropping several pieces onto a page, then arranging them as desired.
The entire process of creating a website with Wix is entertaining and easy. You may believe this is only for beginners, but that is not the case.
The only area in which Wix trailed behind was its lack of a mobile-responsive design for its websites. With the release of Editor X, Wix has resolved this issue as well. Moreover, you can still develop mobile-friendly websites using the Wix editor.
Are you ready to read this detailed Wix review?
Now, let’s get started.

Wix Key Features

Wix’s biggest strength is its ease of use. The drag-and-drop editor makes website building simple for anyone.
Before I dive into features, here’s what you need to know:
Free Plan: Wix offers a free plan. It’s perfect for testing the platform. You get basic features to build a complete website.
The catch: Your domain will be yourname.wixsite.com (not a professional one).
Premium Plans: When you’re ready to upgrade, Wix has plans for:
- Regular websites (Light plan – $17/month)
- Online stores (Core plan – $29/month and up)
You choose based on what you need. No eCommerce? Pick the cheaper plan.
Domain: Free plan = Wix-branded domain. Paid plans = Connect your own domain or get one free for a year
Now let’s explore what Wix actually offers.
1. Drag-and-Drop Editor
My favorite aspect of Wix is its incredible drag-and-drop editor, which makes developing a website exciting and enjoyable. You can experiment with numerous design components to develop a website design that is uniquely yours.
When you begin the process of designing a website on Wix, you must first choose the type of website you wish to create. Then, you may begin by selecting a template that most closely resembles the design you have in mind.
However, you are not bound by templates and can entirely customize them to meet your needs. This is the role of their editor.
From there, you have an abundance of options, beginning with the page backdrop. You can select photographs from their gallery or upload your own. Additionally, you can select the color scheme for your website.
A bonus feature is the ability to apply identical settings to all other pages with the press of a button. Therefore, if you like a plain white backdrop for all of your website’s pages, you do not need to select each page individually.
To access the actual page design features, simply click the “Add” button. You will be presented with a wide range of design components you can add to your website.
These options vary from the fundamentals, such as text boxes and images, to the advanced, such as integrating an online store.
Want to learn more about the Wix editor’s available design elements?
Here are some of the options available to you. The list is rather extensive and cannot be addressed in full, so I will discuss only a few. Thus, here it is.
- Buttons: Add call-to-action (CTA) buttons to encourage actions such as signing up or contacting you. Wix offers a variety of customizable options.
- Gallery: Display images with Wix’s diverse gallery layouts to showcase portfolios, properties, or media, enhancing page engagement.
- Decorative Elements: Add lines, icons, logos, and badges for a professional, organized look using Wix’s drag-and-drop decorative tools.
- Interactive Features: Engage visitors with interactive elements like forms for feedback, subscriptions, and questions.
- Boxes: Organize content visually with customizable boxes in various shapes and sizes.
- Strips: Pre-designed boxes for specific uses, like testimonials, with customizable layouts and backgrounds.
- Audio and Video: Upload, embed, or sell media with tools like “Video Box” and customizable audio players.
- Menu: Create and customize menus easily for smooth navigation across your website.
- Social Integration: Add social-sharing buttons, embed posts, and integrate with platforms like Instagram for seamless connectivity.
- Contact & Forms: Use forms for messages, registrations, and newsletter signups, all fully customizable.
- Content Manager: Manage dynamic pages, templates, and content features with ease.
- Blog: Design and customize blog pages and feeds to suit your website’s theme.
- Store: Build an online store with customizable options to meet your eCommerce needs.
There are alternatives for developing pages for online bookings and events for many types of enterprises, comparable to an online store. Check out these if you want a specific section on your website for these.
There is also a members’ option if you wish to build an online community or a members-only section on your website.
If you were to ask me what I appreciate most about the Wix editor, I would say that all of the necessary settings are accessible from a single menu. All possible design options are provided in a single location.
I’ve used numerous website builders where it wasn’t easy to find the option to modify or add a specific design element. Wix is one of the most intuitive user interfaces of any complex website builder I’ve used.
Therefore, if this is your first time creating a website, you should consider Wix.
Before finalizing a website design, you should experiment extensively with the Wix editor to make the most of its features.
2. Templates
When you use the Wix website builder to create a website, you have access to more than 500 templates. Their templates are organized by website type, such as blogs, news sites, and fashion and beauty sites.
You can select the desired category and then select a template from within that category. Furthermore?
Practically every feature of a template is modifiable, allowing for total customization. You may be wondering why you need a template if you will ultimately customize it.
It’s a good starting point and offers you an idea of how a completed website would look. Based on this, you can then tweak the design to your satisfaction by removing unwanted parts.
Start with a template that most closely reflects your website’s desired appearance, and then modify it to save time.
3. Marketing Tools
My assessment of Wix would not be complete without considering its marketing choices. Wix not only helps you create a website but also promotes your website and its content to expand its reach.
From developing a logo to launching an email marketing campaign, your Wix dashboard allows you to do a great deal. Looking for the best part?
Wix also offers email templates to help create eye-catching email marketing campaigns. You can select from an abundance of designer templates and customize them to your desire.
Wix also lets you create automated emails, an excellent option for email marketing. It offers several predesigned email automation options, such as welcome and thank you emails, which make your job much simpler.
I also wanted to mention in this Wix review that the platform offers social media post templates. In fact, Wix allows you to make and distribute social media postings easily.
Isn’t that amazing?
If you decide to invest in Wix, you should use this feature, which I believe is pretty cool.
To maximize Wix’s use for your website, experiment with the app connections that offer marketing functions.
4. Built-In SEO Tools
Wix provides its users with a full suite of SEO tools to increase their websites’ visibility on Google. The Wix SEO Wiz provides you with all the necessary SEO strategies to optimize your website for search engines.
It can help you create a customized SEO plan you can use step by step for optimal results. Even if you are not an SEO expert, Wix will instruct you on how to rank on Google.
If you need additional SEO assistance, you can hire an SEO expert directly from Wix.
As part of Wix’s SEO tools, you can verify your site, edit your robots.txt file, create sitemaps, and manage URL redirects, among others. Wix’s SEO tools cover all SEO fundamentals.
Pro Tip: Once you’ve launched your website, you should use these SEO tools to help it rank and attract traffic.
5. App Integrations
When choosing a website-building platform, one of the most important things to consider is the number and types of integrations it offers. Because of this, I also wanted to discuss it in my Wix review.
Wix has a large app market where you can find apps to add to your website. These apps can be used for marketing, sales, events, content, and media.
You can also look for apps based on what kind of benefit you want or what kind of problem you want to solve. For instance, if you want to find apps that help you figure out how many people visit your website, you can just click on that option in the menu bar.
Pro Tip: Keep discovering new and useful apps by checking out Wix’s recommended apps.
6. Editor X
Editor X is Wix’s response to the people who said it didn’t have a responsive design. With Editor X, you can now make mobile-friendly sites with full control over breakpoints and flexible grids.
This feature is still in beta, but it has the potential to be the next big thing in website design and building. It offers all the business and support tools you get with Wix Editor.
Overall, you can use this instead of the classic Wix Editor if you want a website that works well on mobile devices.
Pro Tip: You might prefer this choice if you develop mobile apps.
7. Wix ADI
In this part of my Wix review, I talk about Wix’s unique selling point (USP).
Interested in what it is?
Well, it’s the Wix ADI feature that makes it easy to create a whole website quickly and with little work on your part. Yes, Wix can help you create your website.
It’s that easy. When you start a new website, you’ll be given the option to have Wix ADI create one for you.
How does it do that, though?
Before you can do that, you have to answer a few questions about what kind of website you want. These include questions about what kind of business you have and what features you want on your site, as well as questions that will help you choose a theme and other things.
You will also be able to choose the design of your home page from a list. You can also choose what kind of pages you want to add to your website.
After you answer these questions and give Wix ADI all the information it needs, you can sit back and let it do its magic. It’s a smart design tool that will create a website with all the features you want.
Want to know why this is better than making a website from scratch or using a template?
One reason is that it is much easier. You can have a website up and running in minutes. You don’t have to go through all of the Wix editor’s options; you can just pick the features and pages you want.
In fact, all you’ll have to do is customize each page, but you’ll get a whole website with everything you need already set up and ready to be changed. I don’t know if you are a fan, but I am!
I mean, getting a website that is already set up and has everything I need in just a few minutes is like magic. I love this feature so much that I highly recommend Wix to anyone just starting out, especially those looking to build their first website.
Pro Tip: Create your first website with Wix ADI rather than the editor unless you have experience with website design.
8. Industry-Specific Website Design Options
The last thing I want to discuss in this Wix review is how flexible it is for creating different kinds of websites. It has many tools and templates for this purpose.
It also makes it easy to find these options, so you can make a website that fits your needs right away. When you start making a website, you have to choose what kind it will be right away. After that, all of the steps are changed to fit.
It also has a set of tools and features designed to meet the needs of any business. For example, if you have an online store, you will have ways to pay, ways to manage orders, ways to show off your products, etc.
For a blog, too, you will have a completely different set of options to choose from.
So, all you have to do is tell Wix what kind of website you want, and it will help you make it. This is true for any way to make a website on Wix, whether you use the editor or Wix ADI.
Pro Tip: Test out several versions before finalizing and publishing your favourite.
- Drag-and-drop editor
- Multiple integrations
- Open development platform
- Fonts and media gallery
- Easy-to-use interface
- Advanced design features
- Free templates
- Professional mailbox
- Complete design freedom
- Huge app market
- Custom domain name
- Built-in SEO tools
- Business and marketing tools
- Social tools
- Site Analytics
- SSL Certified

Is Wix The Right Website Builder For You?

If you ask me if I would recommend Wix after reading this review, the answer is a resounding yes!
Wix is a very easy-to-use and intuitive website builder that can help you get your site online in just a few hours. It’s good for a wide range of users, not just beginners.
If you want your website to do something specific, you can use Wix ADI to build a template just for you.
For individuals who prefer to customize their websites, there are numerous options available, each with a high level of detail. You can even code your website in HTML.
Wix’s pricing plans cater to most budgets, whether you’re creating a simple blog site or an online store (though their starting prices are slightly higher than those of other site builders).
Wix is highly recommended for:
- Beautifully designed templates suitable for a range of industries.
- Showcase your work if you are a photographer.
- Online music sellers.
- Customization is plentiful.
- Online stores and small businesses.
Hopefully, my Wix review helped you determine whether Wix is right for you. It’s always a good idea to try them before buying.
Wix Customer Support (I Tested At 3 AM)

Customer service is pretty important, and if your product is an easy-to-use tool for creating things online, you can bet you’ll need some, no matter how easy it is to use.
So, what does Wix have to offer here? Wix has a knowledge base within its help center. It’s not a big deal.
It’s not too bad. Wix is an easy-to-use service that doesn’t require extensive reading materials or instructions. It would be nice to have a little more, but it’s sufficient for most purposes.
Wix only offers phone and ticket support, which I think is a shame. It should be sufficient to solve your problems, but I think many people, myself included, prefer live chat.
It’s a little sad that you can’t get it even with the best account.
Still, the phone support and ticket support are pretty good. I’ve never encountered a particularly challenging problem, but when I’ve spoken with representatives, they’ve been helpful and nice.
It’s worth mentioning that Wix’s large user community is a valuable resource in its own right, even though it’s not technically part of Wix’s customer service.
The community has many problems and solutions to share, both on Wix’s blog, in its forums, and elsewhere.
You can probably get answers as easily from other Wix users as you can from the help center.
To put it simply, Wix’s customer service is good but not amazing. Wix doesn’t offer live chat, and the knowledge base could be a bit more comprehensive, but it provides almost everything you need and features a strong user community that can offer assistance.
Wix: Security and Reliability

Here’s the final test for Wix: Is it safe to use, and does it work well?
Let’s start with the first. Since Wix takes care of almost everything about your website for you, you should have high expectations for their security measures. But there’s one thing wrong.
I can’t find anything official about them. That doesn’t mean Wix lacks security, but the lack of transparency is a little disappointing and makes me doubtful. Still, I did pull a few things out of the water.
Wix is PCI-compliant, which is pretty normal.
After looking around a bit, I also found Wix’s Whois domain privacy feature. This feature is good because it lets users choose whether their domain registration information is public or private when they buy or transfer a domain from Wix.
Aside from these two, Wix has protocols in place to ensure the safety of eCommerce and the purchase of a Wix plan.
You can also install apps from Wix’s store to make your store even more secure and, therefore, more appealing to customers.
Wix also states that it hires full-time security experts, uses “advanced security tools,” and conducts regular internal audits to maintain its ISO/PCI certifications.
I believe them, but I wish there were more and easier-to-find information. I found this on their support pages.

FAQs:
How much does Wix really cost?
Plans range from $17 to $159/month. Most small businesses need the Core plan at $29/month. But add $20-$40/month for apps and email marketing. Real cost: $50- $ 70/month.
Is Wix good for SEO in 2026?
Yes. I ranked a test site in 6 weeks. Wix now has excellent SEO tools. It works for 90% of businesses. Only very competitive industries might need more.
Can I switch Wix templates later?
No. This is Wix’s biggest flaw. You must rebuild from scratch if you want to change templates. Choose carefully.
How fast do Wix sites load?
Desktop: 1.7 seconds (good). Mobile: 3.06 seconds (slow). If most visitors use mobile, this matters.
Does Wix have transaction fees?
A: Yes. 2.9% + $0.30 per sale on US credit cards. This is standard and the same as Shopify.

Conclusion: Wix Review 2026
After 3 months of testing, here’s my honest answer:
Use Wix if you:
- Are you building your first website
- Run a small business
- Want to sell online (fewer than 500 products)
- Value convenience over control
- Need AI help
- Want 24/7 support
- Aren’t a developer
Don’t use Wix if you:
- You’re a developer wanting full control
- Need super fast load times (under 1 second)
- Change your mind about design often
- Running a large online store (500+ products)
- On a tight budget (under $20/month)
- Need specific custom features
For 80% of people: Wix is perfect.
For developers: Look elsewhere. You’ll feel restricted.
My recommendation: Start with Wix’s free plan. Test it for one week. If you like it, upgrade to Core ($29/month).
